How to Connect to UPLB-Secure
Last Updated 23 days ago

UPLB-Secure is a WiFi service provided by the Digital Innovation Center. Instead of using a captive portal for logging in, users are requested to download a certificate that they need to install on their devices. Once the certificate has been installed, users will no longer have to enter their credentials every time they connect to UPLB-Secure. Note that the certificate has an expiration date; DIC will inform users when the certificate needs replacement/reinstallation.

In order to use the service, the client:

  1. Must have a UPLB NetID account
  2. Has the certificate or profile installed on their preferred device
  3. Is within range of UPLB-Secure

Downloadable files:

Make sure to download the file appropriate for your device/operating system.

3. Name the certificate then save. There should be a confirmation that the file has been installed.

4. Next, go to your WiFi setting, and try to connect to UPLB-Secure. Make sure to view with advanced options to see all the connection options. Please observe the following:

  • Identity: UPLB-NetID Username (without @uplb.edu.ph)
  • Password: Your UPLB-NetID password
  • EAP method: TTLS
  • Phase 2 authentication: PAP
  • CA certificate: Choose the name of the certificate you have just installed.
  • Domain: uplb.edu.ph

The other values can remain as is. You can then proceed to connect to the SSID.
